Grip Maximizer Analysis Examples

The Grip Maximizer Package includes Traction Circle analysis for two corners, a Braking Analysis with Braking Transition Valley and Average Braking Grip Factor analysis, and a Shift Point Optimization analysis.

The Package is designed to give aspiring drivers new insights into exactly where they have more grip on the track to generate more speed.

A review of the fastest three session laps as above shows a consistent pattern. The lateral acceleration during braking is an area for further investigation.

This example shows a very good transition from braking grip to cornering grip. This driver’s opportunity lies in one braking application rather than the three distinct peak braking forces shown in the curves.

This example Traction Circle demonstrates a driver who is very adept at transitioning traction from braking to cornering. However, loops at maximum braking and the corner apex show areas of opportunity for more consistent driver inputs and greater grip leverage.

This braking analysis shows a steep drop in G Sum at the same time a braking zone has ended. This driver’s opportunity is to transition to cornering earlier, building lateral grip up from braking grip in one smooth event.

This driver’s short shift into a sweeping turn is costing them acceleration. The shift occurs before a difficult apex, however exploring options for later shifts to maximize power could result in lower lap times.
